Online Wellbeing Valuation Workshop
Online Wellbeing Valuation Workshop
In 2021 the Treasury published new guidance on the use of wellbeing to assess business cases and appraisals of policies in government. This provided valuable new guidance to officials and analysts on using wellbeing evidence to design, appraise and evaluate government policies and other social interventions.
Pro Bono Economics teamed up with experts from the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, State of Life and the London School of Economics to develop this training to help analysts using the guidance to practically implement the guidance and use it to drive better decision making.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is designed for analysts from the civil service and the social sector. It aims to build awareness, confidence, and capability in the following areas:
- Understanding the Green Book and its role in integrating wellbeing into policymaking
- Incorporating wellbeing into business cases and developing strategic cases
- Navigating the relevant sections of the guidance for appraisals and evaluations
- Practical training and exercises on wellbeing impact measurement, including tools and calculations
The online workshop on 27th November will be led by:
- Allan Little, Economic Consultant at State of Life
- Sara MacLennan, Visiting Senior Research Fellow at LSE
- Jon Franklin, Chief Economist at Pro Bono Economics
